goodnite... keegan

Since born, Keegan is not the type that can "sleep all the way until morning"...

He constantly moves, sometimes quite startling and sometimes makes some ‘ngi ngi ngek ngek’ sound. And because of that, I always got ‘disturbed’ by him.

Now that he’s 4 months young, there’s noticeable improvement on his sleeping style. Compare to last time when he wake up for meal every 2 hours, nowadays, he average about 4-5 hours of sleep before asking for milk.

This is good news for me because I get to sleep longer in between. I enjoy looking at him while he’s asleep especially when he is sleeping ‘tight’ and cuddly. It filled me up with ‘warmth’ sensation

Developmental Milestones - TURN

Yesterday Keegan has tried to meet one of his new year resolution (which set by mummy) --> "TURN".
This is one of the baby skill when they about 3+ months.

Let's check if Keegan meet below milestones "Child's Age 3 months":

• Recognizes your face and scent ~ definitely YES, his eyes keep locking on my face
• Holds head steady ~ still abit goyang-goyang
• Visually tracks moving objects ~ YES, his head can turn around while some objects moving and he likes to turn his head to left n right
• Squeals, gurgles, coos ~ he can quarrel with mummy
• Blows bubbles ~ loves to play this always and saliva alots
• Recognizes your voice ~ YES
• Does mini-pushup ~ still have to put more effort
• Rolls over, from tummy to back ~ hmm... now he is rolls from back to front
• Turns toward loud sounds ~ YES
• Can bring hands together, bats at toys ~ YES, always play with his hands, can grab his handkerchief and small toys

Most of the above that Keegan had met it. Hurray!!!

Talkative

Nowadays Keegan likes to talk. He can mumble more than 2mins, continuously.
Sometimes he will scream very loud. I have no idea what he is complaining to or he tried to inform me something but just I’m not understand his bb language.

Yesterday Keegan was “lou kai” don’t want to sleep because he slept too much in day time and not feel tired yet.
But hunny feel tired and tried to put him on sleep so he can go to sleep early too.

Unluckily, this naughty boy feels frustrated and keeps crying louder and louder, non-stop. Hunny tried to pat him to sleep but Keegan just crying.
Finally, hunny get angry and not bother him, just let him crying there. So I’m quickly rushed out from bath and carry him.
But too late, he is unhappy now and just crying no matter how I sayang him.
I’m brought him to downstairs and MIL tries to comfort him, he had stop for a while but then cry again.

Ok, I think he feel sleepy and brought him back to bed room and put him in “human made sarong” (hunny is the rack because I just have the “sarong” no rack) and patting him…. After 3mins, he had fall to sleep…
Haih… finally settled him down.

I thought it has over but not yet. This time is hunny don’t want to sleep on the bed, whole night he slept on the long sofa chair or floor.
This morning I asked him why then he said “I don’t like him (means Keegan), don’t want to sleep on the same bed with him…”

Keegan was waked up and he was smiling to hunny. “Smile what? Whose want to smile with you? Still smiling?!!” hunny said.

Hahahaaaaaaa…… my lovely hunny, I’m really speechless…. One big kid, one small kid…

First Hair Cut

Yesterday Keegan had his first hair cut; he did trim his hair before on his first month. Now, we shave his hair because we found on back of his head got a lot of red spots and caused itchiness until he is frustrated that night and cried.

He is sweating a lot all the time no matter feeding, sleeping or playing... I think this is one of the reason. So we are decided to shave his hair.

When the barber was shaving, Keegan very good boy and didn’t cry, he very curious and keep looking at the mirror like can’t recognize himself.
Although after shave Keegan not look handsome as before but the important is the red spots will cure soon.

After shaved, his look likes very dumb and like soldier hair style. Hahaha……
